Learning Objectives:
- After an overview of Mesopotamia, students will be able to identify, describe, and map the geography of Mesopotamia, including important cities, civilizations, and geographic features.
- After analyzing excerpts from the Law Code of Hammurabi, students will be able to describe the purpose of the laws and determine if modern-day laws resemble Hammurabi's Code.
- After an overview of Mesopotamian Civilizations, students will be able to analyze and outline Sumerian achievements and create a brochure highlighting Mesopotamia's geography and culture.
