LESSON OBJECTIVES:
- After an overview of WWI, students will be able to identify and explain the causes of WW1.
- Following an overview of World War 1, students will identify the four long-term causes and immediate cause for the war .
- By overviewing WWI, students will be able to outline the battles and events of WW1 and identify their impact on pushing the U.S to join the war.
- After researching and analyzing propaganda from WW1, students will be able to explain the objectives of wartime propaganda and identify examples of its use in WW1.
- After learning about the conclusion of WW1, students will be able to compare and contrast Wilson's 14 Points and the Treaty of Versailles and evaluate the impact of the Treaty of Versailles.
- After learning about the Russian Revolution, students will be able to outline and describe events that led to the Bolsheviks taking control of Russia.
- After analyzing sources on the Russian Revolution, students will be able to compare and contrast different societal perspectives on the Revolution and understand the devastating impact of the forced famine in Ukraine.
- After reading about revolutionary leaders during the Interwar Period, students will compare and contrast the revolutionary leaders and explain which leaders share commonalities.
