Lesson Objectives:
- After an introductory lesson on the Cold War, students will be able to compare and contrast U.S and Soviet economic systems (capitalism and communism) and outline and describe significant Cold War policies and events.
- After researching events of the Cold War, students will be able to identify significant information about their events and present their events to the class.
- After analyzing sources on Communism in China, students will be able to describe how Communism impacted China's society, economy, and culture.
- After learning about the Partition of India, students will be able to identify and analyze events that led to the creation of India and Pakistan.
- After learning about African decolonization, students will be able to contextualize various speeches given by African leaders and explain the benefits and struggle of decolonization.
- After learning about U.S. Containment, students will be able to compare and contrast the Korean War and Vietnam War and evaluate the political and social impacts of each war.
